You are not really getting your message out. You are also not going to make a lot of money from it.
It’s time to start thinking about your blog as a business and create a plan that helps you reach your goals. Using some of these tricks can help get huge traffic to your blog.
1- Magnetic Headlines
Your headline is the first, and perhaps the only impression you make on a prospective reader.
Without a compelling promise that turns a browser of your content into a reader of your content, the rest of your words may as well not even exist. So, writing great headlines is a critical skill.
The worst headline is one that contains a factual error. Bad headlines are ones that are bland, and don’t tell the reader anything specific, like ‘Obama at it Again.’

This is the secret to the power of your headline, and why it so highly determines the effectiveness of the entire piece.
Remember, every element of compelling copy has just one purpose — to get the next sentence read. And then the sentence after that, and so on, all the way down.
So it’s fairly obvious that if people stop at the headline, you’re already dead in the water.
The better your headline, the better chance you have of people clicking and visiting your blog and… – that’s traffic !
2- Write Compelling Content
First and foremost, you need to be writing things that people want to read.
Create something people want to share.
Why waste a sentence saying nothing?
If someone comes to your blog and finds a lot of grammatical errors or a short article that’s just a re-hash of common knowledge, they’re going to leave quickly – and probably won’t come back again.
When you think of topics for your blog, think about the types of readers you want to have.
- Are they looking for information to solve their problems?
- Do they just want to be entertained?
List style articles tend to be evergreen and popular among many readers, so it’s smart to focus on that kind if you’re looking for a good place to start.
3- Research Your Keywords
Ideally, a lot of your traffic will come from the search engines.
This means that you need to pay close attention to the types of words that people are searching for if you want your site to show up in the search engines.
Use the Google AdWords tool or another type of keyword tool to generate keyword ideas.
Focus on the most popular words as well as some “long tail” keywords, which are phrases that don’t have as much competition.
Write posts about this, including the words in your title and throughout the content. Hitting on a good keyword can definitely bring huge traffic to your blog.

If you don’t have the type of readership you’d like, consider borrowing someone else’s readership.
Write a quality post on a topic that relates to your site and contact other prominent bloggers in your field.

Infographics are extremely popular, and people are constantly sharing interesting infographics.

Another good way to bring in a lot of visitors is to say something that could create a debate. There are plenty of “hot topics” to choose from.
Simply take a stance and write a good blog post that supports your position. What can happen when you do this is that people take notice and start to write about it on their blogs.
Usually, the person will reference your post at the beginning of their response, and many of their readers will click through to your site to see what all the fuss is about.
7- Share Your Content
If you’re just writing your post and hoping that other people find it, you’re never going to get huge traffic. You have to share it with people who might be interested.
Along with making sure that your regular readers come read the piece, you can share it with other top people in your industry.
A single tweet from an influential person can instantly make your traffic shoot up. Don’t be afraid to get the word out.
8- Write About Current Events
Keep up with current events and how they play into your blog’s niche.
This serves two purposes. First, there’s a chance that your blog could rank in the trending news stories section of the search results.
The other is that it just makes it more shareable. It’s become common for people to share a blog post they agree with as a way of expressing their own opinions,
so if you write a great post about something in the news, it can resonate with a lot of people.
9- Diversify Your Social Media Platforms
You probably know that you should have a Twitter account and a Facebook page to help connect with your readers, but those are far from the only sites you should consider.
Depending on the type of blog you have, you might do well by also connecting with people on sites like LinkedIn, Tumblr, Pinterest or Instagram.

In fact, if you have money to spend, I advice you buy advert spaces on facebook and twitter, its the fastest way i know to bring huge traffic to your blog.
However, when you are familiar with the techniques that people love, you’re more likely to have other people do the marketing for you as they share you blog.
